Key Details of the Subhadra Yojana 2nd Installment
The second installment of the Subhadra Yojana was officially disbursed on March 8, 2025. The Odisha Chief Minister, Mohan Majhi, handed over financial assistance to over 1 crore women during a special event at Vivek Bihar ground in Berhampur. Around 25,000 women attended the event, along with several ministers, MPs, and MLAs.
Under this scheme, each eligible woman receives Rs. 10,000 annually in two installments of Rs. 5,000 each. The state government has planned to close the application process for new beneficiaries by March 31, 2025, followed by a survey to identify additional eligible women.
Subhadra Yojana: Impact and Beneficiary Reports
The scheme has played a crucial role in empowering women and improving the financial conditions of families across Odisha. More than 1.18 crore women have already benefited from the program. In Sundargarh district, Minister Jual Oram addressed beneficiaries virtually, emphasizing that the scheme is transforming women’s lives by making them self-reliant.
At another event in Rourkela, government officials reported that nearly 70,000 women have received financial assistance under this scheme. The initiative is also supporting education, healthcare, and skill development, leading to overall family welfare.
